Q. Do I need an appointment? A. Most chapels prefer that you schedule an appointment for your wedding to ensure proper staff and time is available. Q. Do you take walk-ins? A. Most chapels will accept walk-ins subject to staff availability. Naturally, scheduled weddings have priority. Q. What information do I need to get a marriage license? A. The state of Tennessee requires a valid, state-issued, photo identification. You will be asked to provide your social security number but the actual card is not required. Fees will vary from county but are generally around $36.00. You will need to be prepared to pay in cash. For further information, you may contact the Sevier County (Tennessee) Clerk's Office at (865) 453-5502. Q. How soon can I arrive before my wedding? A. You will need to contact the individual chapel for arrival information. Q. Is there a dress code? A. Some chapels do; some do not. Speak with your wedding coordinator about formal wear rentals. Q. Are there dressing rooms for the bride and groom? A. Dressing rooms are available for the bride and groom. However, we suggest the rest of the wedding party and all guests arrive dressed. Q. May we use the dressing room after the wedding? A. In most cases, no. However, your wedding coordinator may be able to make other arrangements. Q. Is there ample parking? A. Parking is available at all chapels. Q. Is there handicap accessibility? A. All chapels are handicapped accessible. However, the grounds around some chapels are not always handicapped accessible. Q. May we have attendants? A. Yes, the actual number will depend on the size of the chapel. Q. How many guests can I have? A. The number of guests possible will be determined by the size of the chapel. Please contact the individual chapel for this information. Q. Do you provide lodging? A. Excellent, romantic, luxurious honeymoon lodging is provided by most chapels. Your wedding coordinator will be able to work with you for your honeymoon accommodations. Q. What type of ceremonies do you perform? A. All of our ceremonies are strictly religious. Our wedding ceremonies are non-denominational but are distinctly Christian. Members of other religions that do not consider themselves as Christians are welcome but please do not ask our ministers to change the Christian nature of the ceremony or remove our religious symbols. Also, please do not ask our ministers to omit references to Christian beliefs. Q. Are your ministers church ordained? A. Yes. All of our ministers are church ordained with many years of actual church ministry experience. Q. May we bring our own minister? A. Please consult your wedding coordinator about using visiting ministers? Q. May we write our own ceremony or vows? A. You may contact your chapel's minister who will advise you on personalizing your ceremony. Q. How much time is allowed for each ceremony? A. Each chapel will allow adequate time for you to celebrate your marriage and to provide the services you schedule without rushing. We are committed to providing excellence for your wedding. Q. Are guests allowed to take photographs/videos? A. Each chapel wants the bride and groom's videotaping and photographs to be exceptional. The chapel will suggest to your guests when they may take photographs and videos so that the quality of the bridal party's professional services will not be compromised. |
